The Chevy Chase House

Welcome to the before & after of a project of mine in Chevy Chase. This project was an extensive, detail-oriented, and rewarding project to work on. After the same family owned the house for over 25 years, our sellers were ready to get this house refreshed and listed. They showed an immense amount of trust in us as we navigated the updates this property needed to be competitive on the market. Hand-selecting paint colors is a crucial choice that can make or break a home’s sale. Choosing colors that can appeal to what current buyers want is just as important as choosing what to paint in the home as well.

From a bright blue deck to a more illuminated kitchen cabinets and basement shelving, the paint worked its magic to bring the home some vibrancy it was lacking. Choosing to install brand new hardwood floors in the kitchen and refinishing hardwood throughout opened the space and gave the home a better sense of flow throughout - something buyers seek in this market.

Seeing the basement bathroom go from a more dated look to a brighter, cleaner version of itself was also exciting. We chose to paint, install ceramic tile and fit a newer mirror to the basement bathroom giving it a quality look despite its smaller size.

With the perfect balance of new updates and incredible bones, this home became a unique offering to buyers looking in Chevy Chase.
